Schutt struck early, having Murshida Khatun caught in the gully, then removed Sharmin Sultana and captain Nigar Sultana Joty cheaply. Bangladesh made only 23 runs in the first 10 overs and slipped to 45 for 4 after 17 overs.
Sharmin Akter Supta batted for around 30 overs for her 50, and Shorna Akter's career-best 54 off 71 balls lifted the total before a late collapse ended the innings with one ball left.
In the chase, Australia lost Georgia Voll (11) and Mooney (21) early, but Sutherland and Perry then took control with matching fifties.
