Editorial policy
How we decide what to publish, how we check it, and how we correct mistakes.
Our standards
- Answer the reader's real question first, then explain.
- Separate news from opinion. Opinion pieces are labelled “Opinion”.
- No clickbait: the headline must match what the post actually says.
Fact-check labels
- Fact-checked — claims checked against the sources listed on the post.
- Developing story — confirmed so far, but details may change.
- Opinion — the author's view and experience.
- Not yet verified — published early; treat with caution until sources are added.
How we verify
- Facts, numbers and dates are checked against primary sources — official websites, documents and direct statements — and listed under Sources on each post.
- Photos and videos are our own or used with permission and credited.
- We never invent quotes, sources, data or eyewitness accounts.
- If we can't confirm something yet, the post is labelled Developing story or Not yet verified.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we fix it quickly, add a note to the post, and list it on our public corrections page. Report an error to contact@talkember.site.
Independence
Advertisers do not influence what we write. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labelled.
