PEMRA bars TV channels from live coverage of blasts and terror attacks, orders time-delay and verified information only
Pakistan's media regulator PEMRA has told all satellite TV channels not to broadcast or go live with coverage of explosions, firing or terrorist attacks, and to air only information confirmed by the relevant department or law enforcement agency. The order, dated 13 October, repeats a 2023 directive and comes days after emergency and governor's rule were imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
