Eight US states sue OpenAI, alleging ChatGPT harmed children and misled parents
Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho and Montana have each sued OpenAI in their own state courts, alleging ChatGPT is unsafe for children and that the company misled parents. OpenAI says it has built age-specific protections; the claims are allegations that courts have not yet tested.
