Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan's firing-squad execution will be livestreamed, Pentagon says

The US Army plans to execute Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009, by firing squad on 3 December, and the Pentagon says the execution will be livestreamed. It would be the first US military execution in more than 60 years and the first public execution in the country in nearly a century. Legal experts say appeals could still delay it for years.

Houthi missile attacks on Saudi airports: PM Shehbaz says Pakistan stands "shoulder to shoulder" with Riyadh under the Makkah defence pact

Yemen's Houthis have escalated missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, targeting Riyadh and Abha airports and threatening oil facilities. Three people have been killed this week. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attacks and said Pakistan's commitment to Saudi security under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement is "resolute". France and Turkey are also offering defensive help.
